Pilot Art
I have a link to this because all of the slides were hand drawn by me and therefore fall under the category of art.

Throughout semester II I have been working a lot on making finished artwork. I started a mixed media series which I connect with a lot personally. The concept of finished has always eluded me as an artist, I’ve always considered art to be an endless thing, meaning that the only end is a made up one that you set yourself. Because of this mindset, the only art of my own that I considered done was art that completely filled up the entire page or canvas leaving no room for more. To better understand what art is and to frame the mindset of a professional in my own head I’ve been reading the book The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. I’ve learned a lot from this book about how I should approach my passion if I am to continue into a professional relationship with it. One of the most important things that entails is to finish things. To accept failure and continue moving is the number one thing that sets a professional from anyone else. Aside from that I’ve basically been drawing every day since the start of semester II. I started a community art table and since then my goal has been to fill it up as much as possible. I really enjoy the community aspect of the table and getting to collaborate with anonymous artists.
An Iterative Approach
Above you can see what practice through iteration is capable of. I drew the same figure (using a mannequin) three times to visualize the improvements I was making subconsciously through each iteration. Iteration in visual arts is the key practice tool for improving as fast as possible. This means not just drawing anything and everything, but instead focusing on one weakness at a time and repetitively improving it until reaching proficiency.

Here's a link to what will hopefully be the vast majority of the art I've made this year. This isn't organized by medium, it's just a collection of drawings, sketches, notes, paintings, and whatever else I may end up doing.

Community Art Table!
The community art table has been my last and largest art project of the school year. In the first semester I started a community art table but sadly was never able to finish it. This is the second installation of the table and it has been allowed to stay out long enough to fill up. I have loved the experience of working with the community in a collaborative way and seeing how all of our minds come together to create something unique and beautiful.
